BitChat is a decentralized communication application that enables peer-to-peer messaging using Bluetooth mesh networking technology. The App operates without centralized servers or internet connectivity, allowing users to communicate directly with nearby devices.

  • No user accounts or registration required
  • Ephemeral encryption keys generated on each app launch
  • No persistent storage of user identities or message history
  • End-to-end encryption for all communications
  • No collection of personal information or usage data

As a user of BitChat, you agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Respect the rights and privacy of other users
  • Not use the App to transmit harmful, threatening, or harassing content

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BITCHAT, ITS CONTRIBUTORS, OR ANY OTHER PARTY INVOLVED IN THE CREATION, PRODUCTION, OR DELIVERY OF THE APP, BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

BitChat is experimental software that has not undergone comprehensive security audits.
